Bar Schiacciate was founded in 2023 with love and respect for Italian food culture - and for the simplicity that makes it so good.
We wanted to bring a piece of that everyday Italy to Sweden.
A place where people meet, eat, and take a moment to breathe
- no matter if it’s a quick lunch or a glass of wine after work.

Everything starts with the bread

Our story begins with schiacciata, the crisp, salty Tuscan bread that’s baked fresh every morning. It’s the base of everything we do. Around it, we build layers of simple, honest ingredients: mortadella, stracciatella, pistachio cream, olive oil, sea salt.
Nothing complicated, just balance, texture, and care.

The bars

You’ll find us in Stockholm and Uppsala.
Each bar has its own rhythm, its own regulars, its own smell of baked bread. No two are the same, but the idea is: wherever you walk in, you’ll get the same feeling. Simple food, served right.

The craft

We bake, slice, taste and adjust - every day.
Our recipes aren’t carved in stone; they’re alive, shaped by the people behind the counter. We believe in progress through repetition - in doing small things better, again and again.
